Situation

You are experiencing a service interruption during scheduled backups. You may be receiving LA2222 and related errors.

Explanation

Reliance on the default setting for backup time can overburden the system. Upon install, the online backup software sets the default backup time to 4:30 p.m.. Since many customers of the service are using the default time, system activity peaks beginning at 4:30 p.m. EST and continuing for three to four hours. The volume tends to saturate server access.

Intuit Response

To address this issue, additional infrastructure has been brought online, with more coming. We are working as fast as we can to do the appropriate load balancing across all hardware, old and new. We are very hopeful that you will start to see significant improvements soon.

User Response

However, the quickest and most effective way avoid this error and continue safeguarding your data is to change the time for the scheduled backup from the existing default to another time outside the current peak period (4 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST).
