Situation

You and your client may be having problems using the Accountant's Copy after upgrading to QuickBooks 2008.

Response

In QuickBooks 2008, the rules on what the accountant and client can and cannot do have changed. (Editor's Note: Sometimes it helps to have the process set out from a new perspective. That's why we wanted to share these documents with our readers.)

Here are three links to PDF files that explain the new rules.

There are also versions of the guide that are specific to just the accountant or just the client. The client instructions could be shared with your clients, for example. The accountant instructions can be shared with colleagues as appropriate.
