What's Available When. We know many of you are eager to see what's in store for QuickBooks 2007 financial software, and Intuit is now releasing information to accountants, bookkeepers, consultants, and related practitioners.
Announcements and Shipping Dates
Here are the most likely dates for releasing of information and many products.
Biggest Changes. Across the QuickBooks 2007 line, some of the most exciting changes come from your requests and show up dramatically in the Accountant Edition and QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants.
On other fronts, beta testers tell us QuickBooks Point of Sale 6.0 is a significant revision with many important changes.
You will also see improvements on the client side. In most versions of QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks Premier 2007, the carefully revised and improved EasyStep® start up interview simplifies clients’ setup and starts them on simplified industry-specific accounts, across QuickBooks Pro and Premier 2007 editions.
The new 2007 Accountant Edition will have, as in 2006, many specialized accounting and bookkeeping tools, and with the ability to toggle among the user interface of most other 2007 versions (of the desktop version of QuickBooks for the Windows operating system. In addition, look for

Multiple unit of measure tracking. Buy in one unit of measure, sell in another. Clients can now easily buy and sell items using different units of measure. They can set up multiple units of measure for an item, and Point of Sale will present the appropriate price/quantity at the appropriate time.See additional information on QuickBooks Point of Sale.
QuickBooks Simple Start Free Starter Edition 2007 now takes the place of the former New Business Starter Kit. Use the Free Starter Edition especially for helping clients get started with financial software.
This fully functional Simple Start Free Starter Edition allows your clients to enter a combined maximum of 20 customers or vendors. If your clients reach this limit, they can upgrade to a full version of Simple Start, or any other edition of QuickBooks with no limitations.

With more tools to market yourself and grow your practice -- and more training and certifications to distinguish yourself -- the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program gives you more reasons to take a closer look.
New ProAdvisors and ProAdvisors renewing their membership will now be able to customize their program, with the options of Enhanced Payroll for Accountants and the A la Carte Menu items.
