Good for You - Work with QuickBooks 2007 or 2008 Client Files. What if your client is still on QuickBooks 2007?

Now from within QuickBooks Premier Accountant Edition 2008, you can review, update, and return 2007 client files by way of the Accountant's Copy.

Good for Your Clients - Easy for Them to Send You Their Files. If your client has QuickBooks 2008, they only need to click one button to encrypt and upload their Accountant's Copy file to a secure Intuit server. Then you can download the file, and work on it and return it as you have done in QuickBooks 2007.

• Sept. 24: More Information for Accountants. This week the product information pages at accountant.intuit.com will have much more detailed product information and will also allow online ordering of the new products. (For Telephone pre-orders, call 888-236-9501).
• Oct. 1: General Product Launch for Public. This week Intuit plans on spreading the word about the new QuickBooks 2008 more widely to general QuickBooks users.
• October. Actual shipping dates for individual products will vary. Users in a hurry will be able to purchase and download many new products as early as Oct. 1.

Another Reason to Become a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Each year Intuit works to start shipping QuickBooks 2008 as early as possible to QuickBooks ProAdvisors.

SmartMap with Lacerte® Tax Software. With SmartMap, QuickBooks Accountant Edition 2008 users can export data into Lacerte tax software (sold separately) or import QuickBooks data into Lacerte.

For Lacerte imports beyond QuickBooks SmartMap, tax preparers may want to investigate Lacerte's Trial Balance Utility (sold separately).

Map Once. Use Often. SmartMap lets you fine-tune assigning trial balance data to specific tax fields, and then lets you apply the mapping you've just customized to other returns. Learn more here.
