In a recent review of payroll solutions, CPA Technology Advisor awarded Intuit QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll five out of five stars.
Technology Editor Isaac M. O'Bannon reviewed over a dozen payroll systems that were aimed at the accounting professional. The Intuit solution was one of only two solutions to receive an overall rating of five stars (out of five), and the only one to integrate so deeply with QuickBooks.
Streamlining Workflow
"The total integration of the module with the QuickBooks system is exceptional, automatically handling transaction posting and account information while greatly streamlining many workflow processes," writes O'Bannon.

Such packages are more important than ever, O'Bannon points out, because of the increasing complexity of payroll compliance. Many clients want their accounting professional to take over such chores.
"There are literally hundreds of processes involved in the larger payroll function, so it's little wonder that many small businesses just don't want the hassle of managing it themselves," he writes.
