In order to participate in the IRS e-file program you need to submit Form 8633. You can do this online using the e-Services e-file application. The e-Services e-file application is similar to the paper-based application, Form 8633, in the information about the firm and its Principals and Responsible Officials that you will provide.
- Log on to IRS e-Services
How to register if you are not already a user of IRS e-Services
a) Go to the IRS e-Services page
b) Click on the Not Yet Registered? Registration Services link.
c) Complete the e-Services registration form
d) Receive a confirmation code from e-Services
e) Confirm your registration
- Complete an application to participate in the IRS e-file program
a) Select Application from the e-Services Home Page
b) From the Application home page, select e-file Application
c) Complete the application
